Douglas Moyer has over three decades of extensive design experience in new residential construction, additions and renovations, retail spaces, cultural institutions, and public spaces.
Douglas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and has been a registered architect in New York State since 1995. Prior to establishing Douglas Moyer Design, he was a designer and project architect at Nagel & Lesser Architects in East Hampton, NY, and at Peter Cook, AIA in Southampton, NY.
A member of the American Institute of Architects since 2001, Douglas was integral in forming the Peconic Chapter of the AIA in 2005 and served as their Director on the AIA New York State Board in 2013 and 2014. Douglas routinely collaborates with a network of consultants, including interior designers, structural & mechanical engineers, and landscape architects. He regularly partners with his wife, Susan Moyer, an accomplished landscape designer.
