The close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean informed and dictated the garden design and installation at this 4 acre oceanfront property in Wainscott, New York. Sweeping borders of native perennials, grasses and shrubs were installed to separate the tennis, pool and main house areas into curvaceous and colorful garden rooms. Naturalized plantings capable of standing up to the salty sea air were added to define the line between land and sea and an expansive cutting garden adjacent to the home was created to provide access to fresh-cut flowers all season long.
