The owner of this small village garden and home requested a private, yet wild and messy garden full of colors and textures. Specimen Trees were planted along property borders and vibrant garden-lined pathways leading to the home and entertaining areas were created. To provide screening from a three-story adjacent home,we installed a raised stone planting bed to contain a fast-growing Bamboo that also provides a soothing rustle in the breeze. In addition, we designed lush planting beds at the entrance to the home and around the new grass-bordered swimming pool.

Fifteen years later, we returned to the project to complete a renovation of the gardens and property. Planting beds were revived with new shrubs and colorful plants and the grass surrounding the pool was replaced with a spaced terrace interspersed with a variety of groundcovers and herbs to soften the look and feel.
